Bookkeeping…. may not sound like the sexiest or most interesting topic. But for me it is. I’ve always had a love for it. Going all the way back to my Accounting classes in high school with Mr. Huskey. We were required to do two business simulations; I did all eight of them! The reward for completing them was to work a final project using the newly released Apple Macintosh computers! After high school my work life went down another path and I was with State Farm for 34 years. I was transitioned out of a job October 31, 2018 due to State Farm’s decision to work with temporary employees. I had planned on retiring in a year and doing bookkeeping as a second full-time career. So this just gave me an earlier start! I earned my Bachelors in Business and Accounting at University of Phoenix Online in 2005, as well as my Professional Bookkeeper designation from Universal Accounting. I recently earned my QuickBooks Online designation and I’m currently working on my QuickBooks Pro Advisor designation. I know that I can help small business owners increase their profits and lower their taxes.
